I had my boat in the aluminum salt (water) for about three months.The key when you travel to fetch water, wash them carefully and keep the engine from the boat to tilt not stand near water. The will.You provided that the engine put something on it annoda zinc may help to put the bulk of their efforts to protect the engine. I do not know where in FL. to go but as a precautionary measure to stop at a local marina and ask for the addition of zinc.
